Thanks Diane,
I really did not expect to win. I was up against some pretty serious competition. I am so happy. It's a very welcomed boost for those times when I'm questionning myself and the caseload is lower than hoped for. I even got a trophy

"Le grand gagnant est Frédéric Wellens"
This means, "The Grand winner is Fred Wellens." It's the only thing I could really read/translate/understand (I am so bad with French.. ). I remembered from French class in school that "gagnant" meant something like "gainer" or "winner." That much French comprehension, plus the sight of Fred in a tie, being interviewed in a video, plus the fact that Fred twittered it (in a humble manner, but at least he thought it was worth tweeting, and it was about him!), was sufficient to convince me it was actually something huge. ![]() ![]() ![]()

The prize I won was actually awarded to a new entrepreneur who stood out of the lot with his buisness project. You had to be 35 yo or below in 2010 to qualify for the prize. The other fiinalists I was up against where a pharmacy and a cie making commercial hancrafted signs.
The criterias were various and we had to fill up a lenghty questionnaire and give our financial results when submitting our candidacy. It was an award evening with something like 8 prizes and I was nominated for 2 prizes. I ended up winning one. The jury was a pretty serious panel of buisness, community and environnemental people. Most of the other prizes were awarded to big million dollars cie. I honestly though the pharmacy would win. So I had not prepared any thank you speech ![]() People were all over me after I received the prize. The mayor, town journalists, folks wanting me to look into their new therapeutic laser stuff. It was very exhilirating but also a bit overwhelming. Tomorrow, life in the clinic has to resume normaly.

Thanks for posting that. It's a very cool trophy. I like it because it reminds me a bit of a very large Occam's Razor Blade.
