Here is the link to Karen Litzy's radio show, "Healthy Wealthy and Smart".
Karen was nice enough to have me on her show on Monday, August 8th, 2011. If you go to her site, find my name in her show list, it's titled "Mesodermalists and Ectodermalists with Jason Silvernail". You can download the show or listen online. You can download the recorded mp3 version from that site or get it here. Thanks so much to Karen for having me - it was a great discussion despite the technical issues we had - though she handled them like a pro. I had a great time and hope you find the interview interesting. Feel free to comment or ask questions below.

Thanks Jason for posting this! And thank you all for listening and for the positive responses. And Anoop, I am going to be posting more here on Soma Simple
![]() Erica suggested having a round table discussion on the show. Maybe talking about some cases, new research, or important issues PTs face everyday. I have already been thinking about this and I think in September I will make that show concept happen! I think Jason is already in. If anyone else wants to come on the show for a round table discussion please let me know. I think it would make for a very fun and informative show. |

I think Erica's idea is a good one. Is there room at the table for me?
Will and I managed to connect on Skype - because I'm not in the US, that worked better than the phone.

Jason,
I just finished listening and was thrilled to hear my name several times. Okay, just kidding. There are many wonderful points made here and I’d encourage everyone to listen. I especially liked Jason’s analogy of “hard ware and soft ware” distinction and intend to use it as soon as I can. I also wanted to mention that Jason sounded very “cool,” whether he was or not. I know I wasn’t though I did my best to sound like it. One more thing Jason, when telling someone your astrological sign you should always say “Capricorn.” This is a much funnier word than “Aries” and you can play a bit with the way you say it. No need to thank me for the advice. |

I actually had heard that astrology advice before and thought it was great - just, contra your cool moniker, forgot it in the heat of the moment. Naturally.
Pretty sure I didn't make up the hardware vs software distinction, but as you predicted, in the middle of an interview this stuff just sorts of flies out of your face and you're never sure where it came from, entirely.

Karen seems to draw this out.
I recall during my interview that I spoke of Wall's saying that "PT and OT are sleeping giants" and then I went on to say that I had always focused on the word "sleeping" here. This is certainly something I agree with but hadn't actually thought to say until that moment. Litzy's a good listener, and that helps. |

Thanks again everyone! Barrett and Jason I am happy to hear that you felt comfortable enough on the show to just say what is on your mind. I think that is awesome!
Diane I would love to have you on the show! Unfortunately, I can not use Skype for the interview. I can have 2 people call in during the show and few others in the studio for a fun round table talk! I am thinking of doing this round table discussion (thanks for the idea Erica!) once a month. I hope that is not too much...I think it will be a lot of fun! Would love to know your thoughts on this. |

Listened to it on the ride to work, about 1/2 way done.
Great stuff so far. Anything Jason posts is usually excellently presented and this interview is no different. Rides to work are about 35 min and interviews like this so far makes me want to take the long way. |

Thanks John I'm glad it's helpful. I'm certainly taking any questions people have here in this thread also.
