Some great sites/forums came to a dead end this year. Perhaps we harvest some new members that ways.

BTW, some other forums became more and more commercial and lost many members that way.

But I think the result comes simply from the quality of the posts and the members.

While there's no doubt about the quality of posts and members here, we also have a tireless genius at the helm.

You do a fantastic job of keeping the quality of the site, both in content and form, at an outstanding level.

I believe that first and foremost the growth comes from that. The other things simply act as water, but fertile soil must first be in place.

Hi All,

Here is the stats for September and October.
They are good months despite the fact that the numbers say the contrary.
I added in September a little program that limits the spammers (around 200/300 per day).

I noticed that there is a stats info box on the outside of the forum, on the front page, that hasn't been updated in quite a while (August 2006). Maybe we should either update it or remove it. Which one should we do? It depends on why you think it was a good idea to have it there originally.

The decrease in daily visits is normal. It comes from the new anti-spam system installed during April.

The software counts all different members who have visited during a month.
