I am a physical therapist since 2001 and a moderator here at SomaSimple. I work in an outpatient facility labeled as an orthopaedic clinic, but see a high percentage of people with chronic persistent pain. I also work in an onsite industrial setting, and am in the process of opening a private practice.

Part of the reason I chose this particular profession and this particular setting within the profession is that there is literally no end to what can be learned and applied in a way that helps people. I have learned more from my interactions on this site and the directions these interactions have lead me than I could anywhere else, or in any other way.

I see the free distribution of information and discussion that happens here as a breath of fresh air in the profession of physical therapy as well as to manual therapy and the treatment of pain in general.
